WDFW Email Regarding Spring Bear Applications
« on: February 20, 2019, 10:36:04 AM »
Anyone else get the email from WDFW saying you've bought an application but haven't submitted it yet, but have a confirmation date and number when viewing it on their website? Both myself and my buddy who I'm applying with got it.

They're probably sending it to everyone who bought an application. Kind of like how I got emails several times recently telling me that I had hunting reports that were almost overdue, when in fact I had submitted everything other than the cougar report, which isn't due yet because the season goes to April 30th.

I got it too, not as lucky as trophyhunt though... hahaha
May my presence go unnoticed, may my shot be true, may the blood trail be short.

Called and they confirmed that my app was submitted. They  said they sent out that email blast so no one could complain they weren't notified the draw was approaching...One would think that they might actually think about running a report to see who actually hadn't submitted it and only email those folks buuuuut I guess I expect a bit too much.

You also assume they know when the draw was happening.

Another example of a govt agency not worried about quality service to their customers. Why bother when you are the only game in town? They always want more money but what doea that money buy us. Nuttin!

Got it.  Have changed my choices a couple times.  To give everyone better odds, I deleted 3rd and 4th choice.  Got my phone reminder this morning.   :chuckle:

I am pretty sure there are people out there who purchased an application, but had not selected a hunt. I think after February 28th, they become points only.
Gathering is easy. Hunting is a challenge.
